3. Indianapolis - as far as venues: birdy's or radio radio. I would host a house concert in my town. The only concern I have about house concerts is getting the word out to people. I know if someone else were to host a house concert and I didn't know about it or didn't know the details then I would miss an opportunity to see you in my area.

Glad to see so many want the full length cd's - me too - album....album....An idea to reduce the investment for you might be to have a cut or more that are solo or minimal accompaniment.

Bobble head dolls???

Maybe a house concert at the center in Carrollton if you think folks would be ok without shoes....probably need to wait 'til warmer weather.

Site is a great venue as it is for you to stay in touch with those really moved by your music and the Love you exude, as well as our being able to feel in touch with you. Thanks

You could never, ever, ever give me enough Gareth Asher music.   I love the ideas that some other artists have used (Ari Hest, Todd Wright to name two) challenging themselves to write a certain number of songs in a certain period of time.  In Ari's case, he wrote one a week for a year.  Fans had the chance to subscribe at different levels to "own" the music - the highest being that you got mp3s of all the songs as they happened, if I remember correctly.  But, he also asked fans to vote on their 12 favorites, and that became his album "52."  It was a really cool process to watch happen! 

 

And here's an idea to go along with your DVD idea...what about an online "residency?"  Residencies are cool because you can see your favorite artists regularly, several times in a shortish period of time.  So why not do an online residency?  Give us a mini-concert every Monday night for a month via U-Stream - 30 minutes of acoustic Gareth Asher.  Test new material on us.  You could even have a live chat running so people could respond and you could have "banter" with the audience.  And record the performances and then make a DVD of them! 

 

2.) What 'Non-Music Merchandise' should I create for you?

T-shirts are always great, but I like the "unique" things that artists come up with that represent them - like the organic patches would just be super you.  Just a couple of other ideas bouncing around in my head:  GA hats, GA scarves, GA guitar picks, GA wine glasses (no, seriously, think how cool that could be - I don't think I've ever seen an artist sell wine glasses),  and GA golf balls (we know you love it).

 

3.) Where do you want us to come perform in 2011? Venues? House Concert?

Charlotte.  At least once a month.  My living room would be just fine. :)

 

4.) What changes or new additions would you like to see made here in the GAC?

Not changes, just things to keep us on our toes!

• What about auctioning off something - a guitar, handwritten lyrics, a private concert for the winner and 10 friends, private golfing lessons with you, whatever - and giving the proceeds to a charity of your choice?   
• Tell us what YOU are listening to!  I can never get enough new music, and I love to hear what my favorite artists have running around on their iPods...

Okay, enough from me.  I'll shoosh now.
