Comment by Gareth Asher on Thursday This is my go to guy now for a pick me up. I find myself in a much better mood after hearing his music. I recommend the whole record 'Home', but this is one of my favorites.
Michael Kiwanuka - Bones
Comment by Nina on Wednesday I am loving all of the John Mayer, Marc Broussard, and David Ryan Harris songs! They are all so fitting for me right now. Erin, I will try to write you on here or send you a note......hugs from Atlanta. Of my latest of challenges, is having to put down my 16 year old dog Sadie who had been with me since she was weeks old through college, marriage, divorce, and moving to Cali and back, as my child and my best friend. I do have another dog I have to be strong for but I am so devastated. Every time I think I am ok, sometimes I just burst out into tears as I think of things. I cannot explain the guilt I felt when I was out and came home to find her in a very violent seizure which lasted at least an hour as I got her to the late night emergency vet. This has become a blog. Lol. Here is a song that Norah Jones wrote for her dog :
Comment by Gareth Asher on Wednesday Yeah!
Dobie Gray - Drift Away
Comment by Erin on Wednesday I really enjoy Shadow Days as well, Gareth, and was excited to hear John Mayer's full album when it was released yesterday.
A recent correspondence from an almost love had brought to mind the phrase "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." Yesterday I ended my day listening to Born and Raised, and found John Mayer singing those words back to me, along with some others that rang true.
A Fool To Love You
Comment by Gareth Asher on May 22, 2012 at 10:36am I like where he is headed, lyrically and musically with this one. You can hear the honesty in his tone, and the belief in the message. Growth can be hard for us all, but it is a beautiful thing to watch someone achieve it.
